Queer Wildlife: “Out in Nature” Video

It’s well established by now that same - sex behaviour is common in all branches of the animal kingdom, mammals, birds, insects fish and reptiles. In some species (bighorn rams, and bonobo chimps), and for some individual animals in others, it’s even more common than opposite - sex coupling. Sometimes these are brief encounters alongside and in addition to the heterosexual variety, sometimes two males or two females form long term (even life - long) pair bonds. Even parenting by same - sex couples is far more frequent than we would expect, especially among birds (penguins, albatrosses and many more), but also by other species (including grizzly and other bear species).

Many other forms of non- procreative sex are also common, alone, with opposite sex - partners or the same - sex, including masturbation, anal and oral sex (in dolphins and whales, also with a third orifice, their blowholes, and among primates, including with the use of sex - toys, that they make themselves.

Queer wildlife also includes a surprising number of fish species in which gender transitions are common.

I’ve written about all of this before (see the links listed below), and posted some pictures. Now, I offer the best video material I’ve come across on- line, with a set of six Youtube videos, “Out in Nature: Homosexual Behaviour in the Animal Kingdom”.

Beginning with an explanation of science, citations from the bible, and Darwinian Theory, this film debunks previously held ideas about homosexuals by examining homosexuality in the animal kingdom. From fruit flies to dolphins, amazing footage from around the globe captures homosexuality in its natural state.
