Why isn’t this translating to the hierarchy?

The Winds of Time sweep all old away…renewing the earth. As more “people” come to KNOW gay friends, family, business contacts - it becomes impossible to reject or hate them. Yes, it would be better - more “purist” - to accept us out of love, but pragmatism often rules the world. Love conquers hate…it takes more energy to hate…love takes courage. Love conquers all. Was this not the message of Christ’s live, suffering and death ?
You’re absolutely right, on both counts - love was the core message of Christ, and getting to know real gay people makes a difference to attitudes. That’s why, to make progress towards full inclusion in church as well as in the secular world. we must endeavour to come out in church too, as far as we are able.
